Registered Counselling Therapist Intern

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts or unsure how to manage them? Perhaps the idea of starting therapy feels intimidating. Or maybe you’ve tried therapy before and didn’t find it as helpful as you had hoped. It’s understandable, then, to feel uncertain about trying again. In fact, many people believe they need to have everything figured out before they begin. As a result, taking that first step can feel even more overwhelming. However, you are not the only one who feels this way, and you do not have to work through it alone.

I take an integrative and client-centred approach to therapy, meeting you where you are. Together, we work collaboratively while considering your lived experiences, unique needs, and personal goals. Rather than relying on a single approach, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to provide support that feels meaningful, flexible, and personalised to you. Throughout our work together, my role is to help you make sense of what is happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and guide you toward lasting, meaningful change.

Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. From there, we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Along the way, you can build greater self-awareness, strengthen practical coping strategies, and develop the confidence to move forward with greater clarity and self-assurance.

Experience:

Grace is a Registered Counselling Therapist Intern completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges while creating a therapeutic space grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. In particular, she has a strong interest in working with athletes and high performers who are navigating pressure, expectations, identity, or major life transitions. For many people, these experiences can show up as overthinking, burnout, or feeling like you always need to be “on,” even when that way of coping is no longer serving you.

Before entering the counselling field, Grace worked in community-focused roles, where she built meaningful relationships and supported the well-being of others. As a result, these experiences continue to shape her warm, collaborative, and grounded approach to therapy. In addition, as a former elite athlete, Grace understands the pressure, identity shifts, and internal expectations that often accompany high performance. Because of this lived experience, she brings both professional knowledge and personal insight to her work, particularly with athletes and high performers who are navigating stress, burnout, performance pressure, or significant life transitions.
